Congress 2020 Event Info

Welcome to the International Trichology Congress 2020

The ITC in conjunction with TRI Princeton are proud to invite you to our ‘Multi-Ethnic Hair and Scalp Care Symposium’.

Plus – a first call for posters

The International Trichology Congress has in recent years, established itself as a world-leading educational and networking platform for specialists with interest in hair and hair loss. Our aim has always been to bring the hair sciences closer together (trichologists, hair biologists, cosmetic chemists, dermatologists and hair restoration surgeons).

With this in mind, this year, we have joined forces with TRI Princeton.  TRI Princeton, based in Princeton, New Jersey, is an independent, non-profit, scientific research and education organisation that supports the cosmetics and personal care industry worldwide. They are the experts in hair fibre research (dead hair).

This year’s symposium focuses on ‘Multi-Ethnic Hair and Scalp Care’.  An area of growing importance to the hair care industry and to trichologists, and an area that is often overlooked.  It is now time to bring it centre-stage.

‘Coily’, ‘curly’, ‘textured’, ‘kinky’; this type of hair is so varied in its appearance and textures it cannot even be described by a single word!  Multi-ethnic hair is (for want of a better word) ‘varied’ and the problems that clinicians, cosmetic scientists and the public are unique and problematic.  Even scalp care is not straight forward and can be affected by different issues which are unique to this group of hair types.

Leading scientists and practitioners have been brought together for the first time in this unique event to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date review of the field.  This unique, intense and not-to-be-missed one-day event is CPD registered and will be held on the 05/10/20 in London at the ‘The Light, Friends House’ opposite Euston Station.

This event will include a poster session to help exchange the latest findings.  Abstracts need to be submitted by 30th June 2020.  For further information or for submissions, please contact

Delegates will also have the opportunity to go on a separate one-day TRI Princeton Hair Science and Claims training course the following day. This course is world-renowned for the information it imparts and will complement the ITC day learning perfectly.

We are again CPD Registered, this one day of event will be able to go towards your CPD requirements laid out by your registered professional body/association.
