POSTER SESSION – INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Poster submissions are free. Although, authors will have to register to attend the conference.
The first call for posters ends on 31st July 2020. Submissions will be assessed for suitability and quality by the Symposium Organising Committee. Authors will be informed of the Committee’s decision as soon as possible.
Submissions just need to include a title, the author/s names, the author/s affiliations and an abstract. The abstract only needs to be 100-200 words long.
HOW WILL IT WORK IN AN ON-LINE CONFERENCE?
All the posters that are accepted will go in a password protected area on the symposium website for other attendees to read. On the Sunday, we will ask poster presenters to give us a 5-minute summary of their posters, after which we will go the break-out rooms in Zoom to allow you to talk to attendees about your work. Further discussions will be encouraged through on-line discussion groups.
Given that the ‘posters’ will not actually go onto a wall, it is fine if you construct them using Powerpoint or a similar presentation tool. We would advise that you limit yourself to 10 slides, maximum, and that you follow the usual conventions of title, abstract, introduction, methods, results, conclusions and references. Posters need to be science based and avoid any overt marketing. Review posters are also acceptable, if delivered to a high standard. Please use chemical or INCI names, not trade names.
We are offering 5-minute advertising slots ahead of the keynote presentations for only £250.00. These slots can be used for presentations or videos and will reach all the attendees.
